The UW–Madison Green Fund supports student ideas that improve campus sustainability, including this project! For more information, contact Ian Aley at iraley@wisc.edu
Project Description
Students from The People’s Farm (formerly F.H. King Students for Sustainable Agriculture) and the Office of Sustainability Intern Program partnered with University Housing to establish a raised garden bed outside of Chadbourne Residence Hall where they grow food and flowers and offer workshops.
Raised garden beds offer ample opportunity to learn about food sustainability by giving students first-hand experience growing their own food, visually learning about where food comes from, and having a designated space for students and campus members to advance their knowledge on food sustainability.
Learn about what we are growing!
