
Jaime Garibay-Rodriguez is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Professor Morgan Edwards’ Climate Action Lab at the La Follette School of Public Affairs. His research focuses on understanding the pathways for transitioning to sustainable energy usage in building heating and cooling, in-campus and beyond, in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability. He has a background in Chemical Engineering. He obtained his BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Guadalajara and his Ph.D. at Instituto Tecnologico de Celaya, Mexico. Before joining the Climate Action Lab, he was a Research Assistant at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany, where he worked on the development of the multi-physics simulator OpenGeoSys.
