Campus Invited to Share Input on UW–Madison’s Sustainability Survey

This fall, UW–Madison earned its first STARS Gold rating in a broad sustainability assessment. This milestone marks progress toward Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin’s five environmental sustainability goals announced in February 2024. STARS reporting is a point-based system used by colleges and universities to measure campus sustainability efforts and compare them with those of peer institutions.

As the university continues advancing these goals, the 2025 UW–Madison Sustainability Survey is helping capture how students, faculty, and staff understand and engage with sustainability on campus.

All members of the UW–Madison community received a personalized invitation by email to complete the survey, which is open through December 10, 2025. Responses will guide future efforts to strengthen sustainability culture, literacy, and action across campus.
