Shealynn Wegner
Address:
I am Shealynn Wegner (she/her) and I’m a third-year studying Community & Environmental Sociology and Landscape & Urban Studies with certificates in Food Systems, Environmental Studies, and Graphic Design. I am a newly appointed member of the ASM Sustainability Committee and I’m thrilled to begin my first year working with ASM. On campus, I support farmer's markets across the country to become more accessible to low-income families and individuals through my work as a researcher in the Farm 2 Facts Lab, and I’m the Social Media Director for the Department of Community and Environmental Sociology. I am also a Slow Food Intern and spend my time supporting food education programs for youth in South Madison. Off-campus, I’m a committee member of the Dane County Regional Housing Initiative and collaborate with local leaders to plan the next 10-20 years of sustainable and affordable housing in Dane County. I am extremely passionate about finding new ways to promote sustainable and equitable development and I’m excited to work with the UW campus community.
