Brenin Buchanan
Position title: At-Large Undergraduate Student Representative
My name is Brenin Buchanan (she/her/hers), and I am a sophomore here at UW pursuing a double major in Legal Studies and Environmental Studies with a certificate in Criminal Justice on a Pre-Law track. Before arriving at UW, I was the President of my high school’s Science Club and Student Council, and Captain of my school’s Mock Trial Team, and regularly volunteered with my hometown’s food bank. This academic year, I have the privilege of serving as an ASM (Associated Students of Madison) appointed chair for the Shared Governance Sustainability Subcommittee. This is my first year working with ASM, and I am beyond excited to begin serving our Badger community. I am very passionate about studying how climate change and climate events impact surrounding communities, and that’s a lot of the work I do under the Sustainability Subcommittee! Post-graduation, I intend on studying Environmental Law (at an undecided law school), and continue to serve my community. On Wisconsin!
