Below are past SIRE Award recipients and their archived proposals. Historically, SIRE awards have been given in theme areas annually, indicated below. All UW–Madison faculty, staff, and students were invited to apply for grants for which they were eligible, with hopes to advance the view of sustainability as an interdisciplinary pursuit.
The SIRE awards program is expected to resume in 2016.
2015: Zero waste; Sustainability Certificate
2014: Developing solutions to address climate change
2013: Developing cutting-edge and practical methods to measure campus-wide sustainability metrics
2012: Buildings and energy, food sustainability, and creating new sustainability-related courses for UW–Madison
