Net Impact Sustainability Competition Helps Wisconsin MBA Students Change the Planet, One Project at a Time

During the Spring 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters, the Green Fund partnered with a student organization to run competitions for students to pitch ideas to improve the sustainability of the Wisconsin School of Business. This article highlights the ideas and experiences of the students who organized and participated in these competitions that led to the three funded projects: Catering Cart (Spring 2020), Art Contest (Spring 2021), and Loading Dock Lights (Spring 2021), and three projects that are currently in development: HVAC Controls Upgrade, Rooftop Solar, and Stabilized Aqueous Ozone Cleaning.
