Sarah Schutt

Sarah Schutt is the Chief Alumni Engagement Officer for the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) and Executive Director of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA). She is higher education professional with 28 years of experience, most of which has been at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As the Chief Alumni Engagement Officer, Sarah supports and advances UW–Madison by leading strategy to build affinity, pride and community among the global community of 450,000 UW–Madison alumni. Her team of 35 alumni relations professionals design and deliver meaningful engagement opportunities across fifteen program areas, including a membership program serving 32,000 alumni and friends and a facility including a 1.3 acre Alumni Park. Sarah has been with the Wisconsin Alumni Association since 2001 as the inaugural director of the alumni lifelong learning program. Previously, she worked with outreach programming in the UW School of Education’s Center on Education and Work, and spent nearly ten years working in residential life at several institutions, including UW–Madison Residence Life. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree from Mankato State University in Minnesota.
