The Sustainability Research Hub (the Hub) exists to make UW–Madison a preeminent destination for sustainability research and education. The Hub provides grant writing and administrative support to facilitate the pursuit of large, multi-disciplinary proposals on campus and beyond. As we create connections between sustainability researchers, the Hub also aims to increase opportunities for undergraduate and graduate research in sustainability. The Hub is especially interested in supporting projects that foster collaboration, support emerging researchers, and bring new sustainability projects to campus.
The Hub offers a variety of services including grant writing and proposal development; collaboration “matchmaking”; project coordination; proofreading and editing; graphic design and geovisualization; and grant administration and budgeting. All indirect costs received from grants are retained by the principal investigator’s academic unit.
The Hub is a service of the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and the Office of Sustainability.
